The month of Tula is most auspicious time to have bath in River Kaveri. Tula Snanam and Kaveri puja if performed with devotion, will drive away all the sins and bestow Moksha on the aspirant.
Sri Tula Kaveri Mahatmyam, forms part of Agneya Puranam. As the name indicates, it dwells on the greatness of Kaveri, specially of bath in the river in the Solar month of Tula. The mythological origin of the river and many stories relating to the efficacy of Tula Snanam in the river comprise the major subject of this work. It is stressed that Tula Snanam, if performed with devotion, will drive away all the sins and bestow Moksha on the aspirant.
Rare stotras on Kaveri, Kaveri Snanam and Pooja veedhi along with Kaveri Ashtottram are also included.
